Yes. You must be at least 15 years old to be in the weight room workout areas.
The NRC offers opportunities for youth ages 6 to 14 to train based on ACSM guidelines. Youth must first complete an appointment with a NRC trainer. After completion they may then train using their trainer designed workout. Below are the options for each age group.

Yes. Ages 12 and older have access to the cardiovascular equipment. Children 11 and under may use equipment if accompanied and under direct supervision of a parent or guardian (18+). Adherence to proper equipment usage and fit is required regardless of age.
We encourage people to bring in guests to work out together. However, due to professional and liability purposes only Nampa Rec Center training staff can provide instruction and/or personal training. All our trainers are nationally certified and experienced. Any outside training or the appearance of training is prohibited. Each member receives up to four free training sessions per year depending on membership type.
