The Pooch Party-Stroll and Splash started in 2007 as the Pooch Pool Party, a dog only swimming event at Lakeview Pool. Given the overwhelming success of this event, we have expanded the party to include not only a dog swim, pet-friendly vendor booths and a raffle, but a 1-mile walk around Lakeview Park, entertainment, contests and more.

We encourage every person to be registered for the Pooch Party-Stroll and Splash as fees support the Nampa Dog Park. The Nampa Dog Park provides a safe place for people and their dogs to exercise and socialize. The Nampa Dog Park opened to the public on July 20, 2009, and we need your help to complete the park’s permanent restrooms and other amenities.
If you are unable to attend the event you may still register to receive a t-shirt and gift. You may also make a donation of any amount online or in-person at the Nampa Recreation Center Program Desk.
On the day of the event go to the info/registration table at the Pooch Party to sign up for the contests. All contest participants must be registered for the Pooch Party.
Any remaining t-shirts ($10) and gifts ($5) will be available for purchase at the Pooch Party or after the event at the Nampa Recreation Center.
You may pick up your packet at the Program Desk in the Nampa Recreation Center on the Friday before the event between 8 a.m. to 7 p.m. or at the registration booth on the day of the event beginning at 9 a.m. If you register online, please bring your printed confirmation. We suggest that you pick up your t-shirt packet prior to the day of the event.
