Liberty Park was constructed in 1995 after Mercy Hospital donated 18 acres of land to the City of Nampa for the purpose of building a community park. Common sights at Liberty Park include children playing soccer, baseball or softball, basketball or simply enjoying the open space. A large picnic shelter sits in the center of the park near the playground and can accommodate large groups for picnics or family reunions.
